Obituary: Catherine (Levenduski) Carfora, 89, of East Haven
A mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a St. Vincent de Paul parishioner who enjoyed the casino and coffee with her daughters.

Catherine (Levenduski) Carfora, 89, of East Haven passed away peacefully at home on February 13, 2023. She was born April 22, 1933 in New Haven to Joseph and Regina (Zwolinska) Levenduski. Catherine is survived by her devoted children, Louis Carfora Jr. (Nancy) of St. Petersburg, FL, Christine Carfora of East Haven and Lisa Carfora of East Haven. Catherine is also survived by her grandchildren who she adored, Louis Carfora III, Nicole Carfora (Anthony Jacobs), Michael Carfora along with three great-grandchildren, Louis A. Carfora, Lilly Berntsen and Aubrey Jacobs. She is survived by her seven siblings, Joseph Levenduski, Dorothy Marinuzzi, Helen Santoro, Frances Riccio, Elizabeth Canna (Joseph), Michael Levenduski (Linda) and Vincent Lewandowski (Mary). Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Louis Carfora (1989) and a brother, John Levenduski.
Catherine was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She loved taking care of her grandchildren when they were younger. She was always there to babysit or pick them up from school. She was a devoted parishioner going to church at St. Vincent de Paul. She enjoyed going to the casino, hanging out with her two daughters and having her morning/nightly cup of coffee with them.
Louis and Christine would like to thank their sister, Lisa for leaving her job and taking care of our mom for the last two years. We “Thank you” and “Love you.”

Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 8 A.M. until 9:40 A.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her procession will then leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
