Obituary of Daniel Patenaude Sr. of East Haven

Daniel Patenaude Sr. 61 of East Haven passed away at home on April 20, 2025 surrounded by his wife and children. He was born November 7, 1963 in Gaston, New Hampshire to Donald and Jacqueline (Teft) Patenaude. Daniel is survived by his father, loving wife of 38 years, Donna (Kelsey) Patenaude and their two sons; Daniel “D.J.” Patenaude Jr. (Casondra) of East Haven and Andrew Patenaude of East Haven. Daniel is also survived by his four siblings; Ann Chase of NC, Melissa Cudgma (Keith) of MA, Susan Wilson (Aaron) of Chicago and Kim Misiolek (Andrew) of Watertown CT along with numerous nieces/nephews.

Daniel was a devoted member of Shoreline Community Church, serving faithfully as a deacon for many years. Prior to working at Metro-North Railroad, he worked alongside his best friend Kurt as an auto mechanic at Kurt’s Automotive. Daniel had a kind heart, loved fishing, and cheering on the New England Patriots. His warmth, loyalty, and love for his family will live on forever.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a funeral service on Saturday May 3, 2025 at 11:30 AM in Shoreline Community Church, 9 Business Park Dr., Unit 1-4, Branford CT 06405. Please go directly to the church on Saturday. Burial will be private at Branford Center Cemetery, Branford CT. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT.
