Obituary: Deborah Buchanan, 59, of East Haven

Deborah Buchanan, 59, of East Haven passed away June 12, 2020 at Yale NH Hospital. She was born July 27, 1960 in Waterbury to Joseph and Marie (Polsie) Slogeris. She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Buchanan of East Haven and her three children, Joseph Slogeris (Leslie) of East Haven, Bryan Wood of East Haven, Jessee Wood of East Haven, step-son, Kevin Buchanan Jr. (Jessica) of Daytona Beach, two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Houston Buchanan and one sister, Penny Labella. Deborah is preceded in death by her biological parents, foster parents, Ewald and Rose Hessinger and a sister, Gail Hessinger.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. Deborah was an avid animal lover and would wish donations be made to the Animal Haven, 89 Mill Rd., North Haven CT 06473 in her memory.
