Deirdre W. Cottrell of East Haven, died Tuesday April 10, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Cottrell. Deirdre was born in New Haven December 2, 1955 a daughter of the late Robert T. and Lois Smith Widmann.
She is survived by her daughter Kristen Cottrell of Clinton; brother, Karl T. Widmann of Stuart, FL; cousin Betsy Pascarella of Branford, her three life-long friends, Sue Weymann, Kate McKiernan and Jean Magoveny and may other cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Robert T. Widmann, Jr, and her sister-in-law Karen Lane.
