Diane D. Lovig, 77, of East Haven, beloved wife of Kirke J. Lovig, passed away on August 20, 2022 in CT Hospice. Loving mother of Jeffrey J. (Jody) Lovig of Meriden, Debbie (Donny) Werme of East Haven, John V. Lovig of Brooklyn, NY and Kenneth M. (Amelia) Lovig of New Haven. Also survived by two grandchildren, Quinn Lovig and Shane Werme. Diane was born in New Haven on October 19, 1944 daughter of the late James M. and Dorothy Anderson Marshall. She was the sister of Sharon (Fred) Macholl, Darlene Rivellini and James M. (Patricia) Marshall, III all of North Branford, Nancy Kapinos of Newport RI, Jennie (Michael) Volpe of Wallingford, Dennis (Cindy) Marshall and Ronald (Jacqualyn) Marshall all of East Haven, Edward (Rhonda) Marshall of Durham, and the late Patricia Calello and Lawrence Marshall.

Diane was, above all else, dedicated to her family. Whether they were blood relatives or her best friends. She enjoyed nothing more than spending as much time with those whom she loved, especially her grandchildren. She was well-known for lighting up a room and had a way of making everyone feel comfortable. Her laugh was infectious, and she loved putting a smile on everyone’s face. She’ll be greatly missed.
