Obituary: Dominic S. Proto, 90, of East Haven
An Army veteran who served his country faithfully during the Korean Conflict, before retiring, he was a U.S. Postal Service mail handler.
Dominic S. Proto, 90, of East Haven beloved husband of 67 years to Patricia Morro Proto passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023 at Apple Rehab Laurel Woods. Loving father of Anthony Proto of New Haven and Janice (Kevin) Volpe of East Haven. Grandfather of Annamarie (Marc) Williams, Dana (Daniel) Romano, Dominic Proto, and Amanda and Kevin Volpe. Dominic was also survived by five great-grandchildren. Brother of Anthony (Marlene) Proto of Virginia and Andrew (Dolly) Proto of North Haven. Dominic was born in New Haven on January 7, 1933 son of the late Anthony and Theresa Laudano Proto.
Prior to his retirement, Dominic was a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service. He served his country faithfully in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

His funeral services were held Monday morning.
