Donald J. “Chester” Hemstock Sr. 79 of East Haven beloved husband of Catherine Compitello Hemstock passed away on December 9, 2022 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving father of Donald J. (Jacqueline) Hemstock Jr. of East Haven, Michael (Cherie) Hemstock of Cheshire and the late Christopher R. Hemstock. Donald is also survived by 7 grandchildren. Brother of the late Grace Jones and Raymond Hemstock. Donald was born in New Haven on September 28, 1943 son of the late Raymond and Catherine Sweeney Hemstock.

Prior to his retirement, Donald was a truck driver for Chuck & Eddie’s Used Auto Parts.

Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven and will be held at a later date.
