Obituary: Elaine Alger, 92, of East Haven

Elaine Alger of East Haven died Tuesday June 7, 2022 at Branford Hills Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Vernon Alger.

Elaine was born in Vermont March 13, 1930 daughter of the late Earl and Ola Whiting Fassett. She is survived by her children, Paul Allen Alger, Sharon Nappi and Deborah Downey, all of East Haven and Brenda Holt of Meriden, her sisters, Theresa Warner, Beulah Chomicz, Jean Francis and Irene Rice. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Michael Alger and her daughter Linda Trenchard.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service Saturday morning at 10:00, with visitation prior to the service from 8:30 – 10:00, at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Entombment in All Saints Mausoleum to follow.
