Obituary: Eleonore-Anna Elisabeth “Omi” Bormann Moon 92, of East Haven

Eleonore-Anna Elisabeth “Omi” Bormann Moon 92, of East Haven beloved wife of the late Charlie D. Moon passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2023 surrounded by her children and best friend Shari. Loving mother of Dorothy-Ann (Charlie) Rome, Robert C. Moon and Charles (Shari) Moon all of East Haven and the late Lenore Moon Capasso and Shirley Moon Tolmei. Eleonore is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. Grandmother of the late Erik C. Moon. Mother-in-law of the late Josee Moon.

Eleonore was born in Braunschweig, Germany on January 22, 1931 the only child of the late Friedrich and Emilie Schimf Bormann. Eleonore and her late husband Charlie started Moon Cutter Company in 1957 which is still a family-owned business today.

Arrangements will be private and under the direction of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven.
