Obituary: Eugene J. DeMorro, 91, of East Haven
An Air Force cook in the Korean War, was a Yankees, Giants and Rangers fan, loved classical & country music, and was a Golden Gloves boxer.
Eugene J. DeMorro, 91, of East Haven passed away October 25, 2022 in CT Hospice. Husband of 41 years to the late Florence Castellano DeMorro. Beloved father of Deborah (Leamon) Moore and Angelo E. (Norma) DeMorro all of Wallingford. Brother of Elizabeth Leahy and Archie DeMorro both of Branford. Gene was born in New Haven on April 24, 1931 a son of the late Joseph and Anna Malick DeMorro.
Prior to his retirement Gene worked for the former Delta Electric Company and also was a member of IBEW Union Local 90 for many years. Gene was an avid Yankees, Giants and Rangers fan. He loved classical and country music and had a great sense of humor. He was a Golden Gloves boxer and served as a cook in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a past member of the Foxon Rec League.
