Felix L. DiGiusto Sr., 89, of East Haven beloved husband of Barbara Kendall DiGiusto passed away on July 2, 2025 surrounded by his family at CT Hospice. Loving father of Felicia (William F.) Holohan III of Branford and Felix L. (Rosemarie Dauria) DiGiusto Jr. of East Haven. Grandfather of William F. (Jessica) Holohan IV and Bryce A. (Alexa) Holohan. Great grandfather of Maddox Holohan. Step grandfather of Shayna Acampora. Step great-grandfather of Liliana Suarez and Rocco Acampora. Felix was predeceased by his sister, Mary Lou Festa. Felix was born in Hamden on August 4, 1935 son of the late Felix F. and Yolanda DiGiusto. Felix and Barbara were married for 66 years. They lived a very full and happy life together. Felix worshipped his grandsons. He never missed one of their hockey practices, games or tournaments from the time they were little all the way through high school. He went on every vacation from North Conway, New Hampshire to Florida and so many places in between with his family. He had a passion for golf and played every chance he could. After retiring, he and Barbara spent many winters in Lake Worth, Florida. They loved spending time with family and friends, playing golf and enjoying the warm weather. He was very proud of the 70+ year friendships he made at Notre Dame High School. He always looked forward to their breakfasts, reunions and golf outings. He loved entertaining for holidays with the entire family, especially Christmas Eve. As a huge sports fan, “Super Sunday” was a holiday in itself. He loved all sports, but particularly watching whatever sports his grandsons played. He also cherished playing golf with them. He loved to talk to anybody who would listen. He was a great storyteller and could go on for hours if you let him. He was a member of the Westbrook Elks Club and also spent many Tuesday nights at the West Palm Beach Elks when in Florida. He also loved going to the casinos in Las Vegas, Florida and Mohegan Sun to play slots. He was a lucky guy, and we all were lucky to have him in our lives. Prior to his retirement, Felix was an Operating Engineer for Local 478 and retired from the Town of East Haven in the WPCA Department.
