Obituary: Jada Lynn Pellegrino, 18, of East Haven

Jada Lynn Pellegrino, 18, passed away at Norwalk Hospital on August 26th, 2023. She was the beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece and cousin to both sides of the Smith and Pellegrino family.

Jada was born in New Haven on May 27th, 2005, to Kimberly Smith and John Pellegrino Jr. Jada had a special bond with her mother Kimberly, one that was truly unbreakable. They were two peas in a pod.

Her smile was contagious, and it always brightened everyone’s day. She was young, smart, and
beautiful. She fully enjoyed life. Jada loved doing hair, makeup and listening to music. Her favorite artist of all time was Juice WRLD.

In addition to her parents, Jada is survived by her grandparents Tom and Linda Smith and John
Pellegrino, brother Johnny Pellegrino, stepfather John Chaski; aunts Kelly Smith (Jason) and Rebecca Wright; cousins Anthony D’Alessio, Brendan Benway (Jada), Damien Benway (Irene) and Hailey Benway. She also is survived by her little cousins Bella, Emma, Damien Jr., and Kayden who loved and cherished her. She also is survived by many aunts and uncles of the Pellegrino family. Furthermore, Jada was the niece to the late Michael Benway.

A service will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
