John R. DelMonico, 89, of Branford formerly of New Haven passed away January 21, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Husband of the late Pearl White DelMonico. Beloved father of Angelina DelMonico of East Haven, Ruby Caruso of Branford, Jean (Al) Dagliere of East Haven and the late John DelMonico, Jr. Grandfather of Lisa, Michael, Nicole and Kara and the late Peter Gaudioso. Great grandfather of Megan, Michael, Jenna, Isabella, Felicia, Anthony, Matthew, Peyton, Aiden, Luca and Avery. Great great grandfather of Blake, Parker, Sonny, Dominick and Gianna. Brother of the late Michael and Anthony DelMonico. John was born in New Haven on March 25, 1936, a son of the late Michael and Angelina Mariconde DelMonico. Prior to his retirement John worked for Laborers Union Local 455 for many years. He was an Air Force veteran.
