Obituary: Joseph Anthony Vallombroso, 84, of East Haven
He owned A & J Builders and worked exclusively for Anderson-Wilcox in Branford in his later years.

Joseph Anthony Vallombroso, 84, of East Haven passed away peacefully on December 1, 2018 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Joseph was born in New Haven a son of the late Alfonse and Fannie DelVecchio Vallombroso. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Christine D'Addio Vallombroso.
He is also survived by his older brother Andrew Vallombroso of North Haven and was predeceased by his younger brother Robert Vallombroso. Joseph is also survived by his many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews and wonderful lifelong friends all of whom adored the gentle soul of “Uncle Joe”, Joey or Joe Val. He always spoke well of everyone and never had a disagreement with anyone.

He truly will be missed by all who loved him. Since a young age, Joe was always interested in building, reading and painting. He owned A & J Builders and worked exclusively for Anderson-Wilcox in Branford in his later years. He enjoyed travel and many cruises with his wife and they enjoyed the past 18 winters in Palm Springs, FL. The casino were his favorite place to enjoy over-night stays on special occasions. Joe was an avid reader and loved history. Joe loved life!. He loved his country and served faithfully in the Army from 1957-63. He had high clearance from the FBI because of his work in High Headquarters in Heildelberg, Germany. He received the good conduct medal and was honorably discharged.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Christian Service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Wednesday at 12:00 P.M. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
