Kirsten was a special education teacher for the past 11 years in East Haven. She touched many lives during her time as a teacher.

Kirsten Lynn Scillia, 40, of West Haven, passed away on September 30, 2018. She was born in New Haven, the loving daughter of Frederick and Laurie Orr Mueller of West Haven. She is also survived by her fiancée Frank Buffone of West Haven, her daughter Madison Scillia, her step-children Natalie and Daniel, her siblings Gretchen (Earl) Reed of Killingworth, Jennifer (Joseph) Galla of Oxford, Alison (Mark) Edwards of East Haven, Christopher (Sheri) Mueller and Kevin (Heather) Mueller all of Naugatuck and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kirsten was a Special Education teacher for the past 11 years at Deer Run School, East Haven. She touched so many lives during her time as a teacher.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to either Autism Society of American www.autism-society.org or National Hemophilia Foundation www.hemophilia.org.
