Obituary: Lester Thomas, 90, of East Haven

Lester Thomas, 90, beloved husband of 65 years to Caroline Massaro Thomas of East Haven passed away June 22, 2022 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving father of Michelle (John) Kaliszewski of Hamden, Cynthia DeRosa of New Haven and Elizabeth (Rudolph) Diaz of East Haven. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Krista, Christina, Thomas, Joseph, Matthew, Ricky, Geraldo, Nicole, Caroline, Rudolph, Sean and the late Amy Diaz. Brother of Gail Skulley of Killingworth and the late James and Douglas Thomas. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren. Lester was born in New Haven on July 26, 1931 a son of the late Lester and Jeanette Senate Thomas.

Prior to hi retirement Lester worked for the State of Connecticut for over 30 years. He was an Army veteran.

Family and friends are invited to a Parlor Service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Tuesday morning at 11:00. Entombment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call TUESDAY MORNING from 9:00-11:00.
