Obituary: Marianne Cantore, 60, of East Haven

Cherished by family and friends, she worked for Big Y and the former Pathmark , was a friend to all and loved her pets, Sarah and Molly.

Marianne Cantore of East Haven passed away April 23, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was born to the late Frank and Agnes (Izzo) Cantore. Marianne is survived by her three loving sisters, Claire Dunaj (widow of David Dunaj) of East Haven, Monica Cantore of East Haven and Rosina Mauro (Tom) of Madison. Marianne is preceded in death by her brother, Francis Cantore.

She is also survived by her nephews: David Dunaj (Dawn), Matthew Dunaj (Kristi), Joseph Dunaj, Christopher Dunaj (Amanda), and nieces, Joelle Ruggiero (William), Robin Filley (David) and Melissa Ferranti (John) and five great nephews: Tyler, Alexander, Elijah, Connor and Jacob.

Marianne was a security receiver at Big Y and formerly Pathmark Grocery Store. She was a hard worker and sought perfection with everything she did. She was a friend to all and loved her pets, “Sarah” and “Molly.” Marianne was a loving daughter, sister and cherished AUNTIE to her nieces, nephews and great nephews.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11 A.M. in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Bernadette, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven CT. Burial will be private at St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
