Marie Jarmie Caporale, 92, of New Haven passed away June 1, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Michael Caporale. Beloved mother of Janice (Jerome) Sagnella of Guilford, Michael (Regina) Caporale and Donna (Paul) Caporale-Colon all of New Haven and Karen (Aldo) Popolizio of East Haven. Caring grandmother of Anthony (Kamila) Sagnella, Christopher (Jessica) Caporale, Lisa (Henry) Puciato and Michael Caporale, Jr. Cherished great grandmother of Aubrey and Christopher Caporale, Emma and Marc Puciato and Isaac Sagnella. Sister of the late Albert and John Jarmie. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Marie was born in New Haven on June 6, 1932 a daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Carbone Jarmie. Prior to her retirement, she was a Teacher for the New Haven Board of Education for over 30 years. Marie’s family would to thank caregiver, Gina Rosarbo, and the Compassus Hospice Staff of Milford for their compassion and care a special thank you to caregiver, Rosa Gerenia.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80), East Haven Thursday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church in North Haven at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
