Maryann Vitola Peterson, 78, beloved wife of Edward J. Peterson of East Haven passed away February 24, 2023 in CT Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Christine Marie Peterson and Joseph J. (Marie) Peterson all of East Haven.
Cherished grandmother of Nicole and Joseph Peterson and Jacquelyn Salato. Sister of the late Theresa Amato and Anthony Vitola. Maryann was born in New Haven on May 22, 1944 a daughter of the late Frank and Katherine DeFelice Vitola.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Thursday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends may call WEDNESDAY from 5:00-7:00 PM.
