Obituary: Michael J. Devlin, Sr., 62, of East Haven

Michael J. Devlin, Sr., 62 beloved husband of Maria Gonsalves Devlin of East Haven passed away April 7, 2022 suddenly at his home. Loving father of Michael J. Devlin Jr. and fiancee' Samantha Champlin of Branford, Jamie Devlin of New Haven and Christopher J. Devlin of East Haven. Caring grandfather of Jorden and Ariellah Devlin, Konnor and Rosebella Juarez. Cherished son of Elizabeth Pane Murgo and the late Edward Devlin. Stepson of Joseph Makul of Branford. Brother of Debra Devlin of Key West, FL. Son-in-law of Al Gonsalves of Middletown and Marie Rea Gonsalves of East Haven. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and his pets Nikita and Fred.

Mike was born in New Haven on May 16, 1959 and at the time of his death was shipping supervisor for Honey Cell, Inc. of Shelton. He also was a truck driver for Pepsi Cola, New England Motor Freight and worked at Yankee Discount Liquor. Mike loved riding his motorcycle and going fishing.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Wednesday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call WEDNESDAY MORNING from 8:30-10:30.
