Obituary: Michael A. Marcell, 41, of East Haven

Michael A. Marcell, 41, of East Haven beloved husband of Kimberly Meeker Marcell passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2023 at his home. Loving father of Kaleb, Madelyn and Jaxon Marcell all of East Haven. Brother of Rachel (Luis Sanchez) Marcell of East Haven and Christopher (Jayme) Marcell of Wallingford. Michael was born in New Haven on April 5, 1981 son of Raymond A. and Susan Ferraro Marcell.

At the time of his death, Michael was a foreman for Metro-North Railroad. Michael loved his children more than anything in the world, and they were his greatest joy. He loved his dogs, the Cowboys, cars and his spicy foods. He never missed the chance to ride the next big roller coaster and recently talked about the parks he wanted to take his children to this summer. Michael was a kind and thoughtful man loved by everyone who met him. For those that knew him best, he was the biggest scooch. He will forever be remembered for his infectious smile.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven SATURDAY morning at 11:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 12:00. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Family and friends may call FRIDAY from 5pm to 8pm.
