Obituary: Pasquale Carmen Rubano, 98, of East Haven
A WWII Marine, he served aboard a B-25 Mitchell Bomber. He worked for New Haven parks department for 52 years, retiring as deputy director.
Pasquale Carmen Rubano, 98 of East Haven passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on November 23, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Grace Porrello Rubanofor 74 years. He was the son of the late Anthony and Rose Cappella Rubano. He was predeceased by his brothers Charles, Andrew, and Alfred Rubano and his sisters Dorothy (Rubano) Russo and Rosemary (Rubano) Consiglio. He was the loving father of Pat (Cathy) Rubano, Kenneth (Kristine) Rubano, and Lucia (Prisco) Abate. He was the devoted grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Pasquale served as a United States Marine in WWII aboard a B-25 Mitchell Bomber. Upon discharge in 1946, he began employment with the City of New Haven Parks and Recreation Department as a tree trimmer. Eventually retiring after 52 years of service as Deputy Director of Parks. Pat was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and Dobermans.
