Patricia Young Zampa, 85, beloved wife of 60 years to William J. Zampa of East Haven passed away August 21, 2018 in CT Hospice. Loving mother of Karen (Robert) Katz of Long Island, NY, William J. Zampa, Jr and companion Patricia Davis of Newington and Susan A. Zampa of Toms River, NJ. Caring grandmother of Katherine Rose Leon. Cherished aunt of Howard McCann and Renee Rice. Patricia was born in New Haven December 26, 1932 a daughter of the late Howard and Katherine Schroeder Young. She was predeceased by a sister Carol McCann.

Prior to her retirement Patricia worked for SNET Co. for many years. She was an active member of Our Lady of Pompeii Church and a former President of the Ladies Guild. She was also a former counselor for the Girl Scouts where she taught swimming and life saving techniques. Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Friday afternoon at 1:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 1:30. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden.
