Paul A. Carrera Sr. 91, of East Haven beloved husband of Caroline Pappacoda Carrera passed away on December 4, 2018 in Arden House. Loving father of Kathy (Mark) Signore, Lori Carrera, Michael Carrera, Vincent Carrera, John C. Julianelle and the late Paul A. Carrera Jr. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Brother of the late Salvatore Carrera. Paul was born in New Haven on January 9, 1927 son of the late Salvatore and Raphael Panzarella Carrera. Prior to his retirement Paul was a truck driver for Local 443, a limousine driver for Hy's Livery of West Haven and an employee of the Porto Funeral Homes of West Haven and East Haven.

He served his country honorably in the Army during WW II. The Carrera family would like to thank Paul's two grandchildren Kristen Signore and Lisa Menard for the special care shown to Paul during his illness.

He was predeceased by his first wife Lucille Esposito Carrera. His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven on MONDAY at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11 :00. Interment with Military Honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call on SUNDAY from 4pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association 322 Eighth Ave 7th Floor NY.
