Philip Levatino 72 of East Haven passed away unexpectedly at home on April 19, 2025. He was born July 7, 1952 in New Haven to Philip Sr. and Annamarie (Riccitelli) Levatino. Philip is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maureen (Mulvey) Levatino and two devoted daughters; Susan Levatino (Frank Ruggiero) of East Haven and Cheryl Levatino of East Haven. He is also survived by his two brothers, Frank Levatino of West Haven and Steven Levatino (Kelly) of East Haven and numerous nieces/nephews.

Phil is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ross Levatino, in-laws, Joseph and Betty Mulvey and his pet dog and companion “Mugsy.”

Phil was a dedicated and loving husband, father and friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. If he was not spending time with his family, he could be found visiting “The Deli” in the early mornings or betting on horses at the Sports Haven. Phil enjoyed maintaining his pristine yard, crabbing, golfing and watching the NY Yankees, Chicago Bears and the Michigan Wolverines. Prior to retirement, Phil worked with the Amtrak Railroad, Hershey Creamery and lastly at Seaboard Oil.

Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM on Friday April 25, 2025 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven. (Please go directly to the church on Friday). Burial will be private. All Services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959 in memory of Philip Levatino.
