Obituary: Robert B. (Melty) Wetmore, IV, 45, of East Haven
He worked at Christopher Martin's Restaurant for more than 20 years and looked forward to its annual Thanksgiving dinner for those in need.

Robert B. (Melty) Wetmore, IV, 45, of East Haven died peacefully on July 20, 2021, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
Rob was born in New Haven on September 8, 1975 to Robert and Ruth Wetmore. He was the beloved husband of Amy Adkins.
Rob attended the Culinary Arts Program at Lincoln Culinary Institute, receiving the Chef Robert Anderson Award for excellence and professionalism. Rob worked for over 20 years at Christopher Martin’s Restaurant in New Haven. Over the years, Rob worked as a cook, server, busser or any other job at CM’s he was called upon to do. Rob always looked forward to participating in CM’s annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Area’s Homeless and Working Poor Families. Thanksgiving did not start for Rob until this dinner and winter coat giveaway was completed.
He worked for over 20 years at Christopher Martin’s Restaurant in New Haven and looked forward to its annual Thanksgiving dinner for those in need.
Rob is also survived by his brother Neil Wetmore, Sr, his wife Roseanne and their infant son, Neil, Jr., his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Shelley Adkins, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian and Janene Adkins and their children Kaitlyn, Christopher, Elizabeth and Matthew.
The family thanks Rob’s CM family (particularly Chris Vigilante and Brian Virtue) for their love and support during this time and always. Also a special thanks to the staff and volunteers at CT Hospice for their loving care and support. Please consider a contribution to CT Hospice in Rob’s name.
Friends may visit at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St, Branford on Saturday, July 24, 2021, beginning at 9 am. A prayer service will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven. For online memorial, please see www.wsclancy.com.
