Bob was born in New Haven on March 24, 1953 son of the late Robert E. and Marie Valente Dryzgula Sr. Bob leaves behind his wife Debra; his three children, Robert A. Dryzgula and Christine Mathis both of Southington, and Dan (Maille) Dryzgula of Higganum. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Brian Mathis. He is also survived by his three stepsons, Jason (Corrie), Jermy (Holley) and Josh and grandchildren, Jack and Savannah (Christine), Uri and Darion (Jason & Corrie), Patton and Patterson (Jermy & Holley), Kinlee, Leighton and Crew (Josh) and great grandchildren, Scarlett and Iris (Uri & John). Brother of Richard E. Dryzgula of North Branford and the late Diane D. Brockway. Uncle of Emily and Jeffrey (Richard) and former wife and friend, Susan Sandar. Bob had a wide-ranging career. After he graduated from UCONN, he started his professional career at Travelers in data processing. He worked for many years at SNET and later worked as a consultant in communications at Cap Gemini. Following many years in corporate life, Bob pursued a second career in education as a high school math teacher and principal in Phoenix, AZ where he was respected and admired by students. He had a natural ability to connect with young people and took pride in helping others learn and grow. Outside of work, Bob enjoyed coaching his children in baseball and basketball. He was the kind of coach and mentor kids remembered—someone who was patient, supportive, and always willing to help. He was also a hands-on craftsman who enjoyed improving every home he lived in. Whether it was building decks, redoing kitchens, or detailed trim work, he could tackle just about anything. Bob's legacy is one of hard work, dedication, cherished memories and always being there for those who needed him - he was loved by so many and will be so deeply missed.
