Obituary: Rose Marie DeMatteo Lindsey, 88, of East Haven

Rose Marie DeMatteo Lindsey, 88, beloved wife of Frederick J. Lindsey of East Haven passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Mark (Elizabeth) Lindsey of Milford and Deborah (John) Lombardi of North Granby. Caring grandmother of Ashley (Michael) Fernandez, Jonathan Lindsey, Austin Lindsey-Longo, Jillian and Kristen Lombardi. Cherished great grandmother of Lindsey and Lilly Fernandez, Olivia Ovens and Greyson Lindsey. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Heather Lindsey-Beach. Sister of Angelo DeMatteo of East Haven and the late Lucy Conti, Josephine Smith, Richard and Salvatore DeMatteo.

Rose Marie was born in New Haven on April 7, 1934 a daughter of the late Angelo and Josephine Bova DeMatteo.

Prior to her retirement she was a dance instructor for the Arthur Murray Dance Company of New Haven for many years.

A Parlor Service will be held in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Friday morning at 11:00. Friends may call FRIDAY MORNING from 9:00 until time of service. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
