Shawn McNally, 56 of East Haven passed away unexpectedly at home on April 19, 2025. He was born December 12, 1968 in Bridgeport to James and Marie (Biondello) McNally. Shawn is survived by his loving companion of 21 years, Patricia Formica of East Haven, a step-daughter, Erika Formica of East Haven and the “light of his life” his grandson, Andrew Salvatore Muro III who called Shawn “Pop-Pop”. Shawn is also survived by his three nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael McNally.
Shawn was a passionate tennis enthusiast, whose admiration for Rafael “Rafa” Nadal was evident in his every conversation. He also enjoyed playing paddleball, often rallying with friends and loved ones at local courts. His dedication to sports paralleled his unwavering support for the Giants, always watching their games on TV and cheering them on from home. A devoted grandfather, Shawn cherished every moment spent with his grandson, Andrew, beaming with pride as they attended football and basketball games together. Whether at practice or in the stands, where Andrew was, Shawn was sure to follow, creating lasting memories. His love extended beyond family; he was also a devoted companion to his beloved dog,” Bubbles”, who brought joy to his daily routines.

Family will receive friends on Sunday April 27, 2025 from 5 PM until the time of service at 7 PM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
