Obituary: Sheila Markel Young Richardson, 86, of East Haven
Before retiring, the great-grandmother of 12 worked as a secretary for Echlin Manufacturing.
Sheila Markel Young Richardson, 86, of East Haven passed away on December 7, 2022 in CT Hospice. Loving mother Marsha Williams, Mary-Jo (Gary) Sagnella and Rob (Sallyanne) Young and the late David Young. Beloved grandmother of Josh (Stephanie) and Matt (Carmen) Littleton; Kyle (Lauren), Kaitlyn (Matthew Bucaccio) and Kelly Sagnella; Davia (Jason) Burke; Christopher (Emelissa) and Vladimir (Eric Creasbaum) Young; and Jessica (Angelo) Saba III. Sheila is also survived by 12 great grandchildren. Sister of the late Bud Markel. Sheila was born in Table Grove, IL on November 19, 1936 daughter of the late Edward J. and Myrtle Major Markel.
Prior to her retirement, Sheila worked as a secretary for Echlin Manufacturing, Inc.

Arrangements in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice at www.hospice.com.
