An avid animal lover, especially cats Leo, Nutty and dog Taz, she was a beautiful soul who loved her family, swimming, and Lake George trips

Stephanie Ann Cooper, 40, of East Haven passed away suddenly at home on Thursday May 18, 2023. Stephanie is the daughter of Shirley Cooper and the late Joseph Cooper. She was born on May 26,1982 in New Bern NC. She was a 2000 graduate of East Haven High School.

Stephanie was an avid animal lover, especially her cats Leo, Nutty and dog Taz. She was a kid at heart. She was a beautiful soul who loved her family, loved swimming in her pool, trips to lake George, but above else she loved her nieces and nephew more than anything in the world. She was loved by everyone who crossed paths with her, even strangers would gravitate to her and talk to her.

Beside her mother Shirley, she is survived by her long-time boyfriend Chris Sama, her brother Brian (Megan) Cooper of East Haven and her sister Cheryl (Vaughn) Tardif of East Haven, her nieces and nephews Hailey, and Maddie Cooper and Emmy and Jacob Tardif. She was predeceased by her grandparents Rae Tropeano and Guido Mirto.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 26, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Pio of Pieltrelcina Parish in St. Vincent DePaul Church 80 Taylor Ave East Haven. Stephanies’ family will receive visitors on THURSDAY May 25, 2023 from 5PM-8PM at East Haven Memorial Funeral Home 425 Main St East Haven CT.
