Teresa Amendola Izzo, 77, beloved wife of Edward A. Izzo of East Haven passed away September 25, 2018 at the St. Raphael Campus surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Denise (Lenny) Tartaglia of Wallingford, Teresa Handy of North Haven and Susan Pettella (John Grant) of East Haven. Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Ashleigh, Jacqueline, Michael and Angela.

Caring great grandmother of Giuliana and Adrianna. Teresa was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lucy Fiorillo Amendola and the sister of Angie (Fred) DelVecchio of New Haven. She also leaves a sister-in-law Dorothy (Ted) Siwinski of East Haven and several nieces and close friends, especially Nancy Ryan and Josephine Hughes. Prior to her retirement Teresa worked for Citizen's Bank and also worked for the Connex Credit Union.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Saturday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Ambrose/St. Augustine Church at 10:00. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call FRIDAY from 5:00-8:00 PM.
