Obituary: Walter Andre Perron, 79, of East Haven

He served in the Navy and retired from United Illuminating Co., and enjoyed cooking, gardening, hunting, fishing, watching the Yankees.

Walter Andre Perron, 79, of East Haven passed peacefully on August 22, 2022 after a brief illness. Born in Glover, VT on January 24, 1943 son of the late Ernest and Maria Perron. Married to Deanna Puglia for 57 wonderful years. Loving father of Walter Perron (James), Michelle Leone (John) and Kelley Perron (Joe). Proud grandfather of Anthony Leone. Survived by his siblings Rita, Estelle, Yolande, Cecile, Nelson and Ricky. Predeceased by siblings Marcel, Jeanne, Estelle Rita, Leo, Louis, Martha, Marie Lorraine, Jacques, Claire, Eddie, Rachel and Alan. Loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cooking, gardening, hunting, fishing, watching the Yankees and spending time with his loving family in Vermont were his pleasures in life. He will always be remembered for his caring heart and contagious smile. Walter was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. Walter served in the U.S. Navy for 4 1/2 years. Retired from the United Illuminating Company in 2005 after 41 years.

Interment with military honors was held at All Saints Cemetery.
