Obituary: William J. Griffin (Porto Funeral Homes)

William J. “Bill” Griffin, 61, of West Haven, beloved companion of Joanne Laudicina Pearson, passed away on August 7, 2026 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at the Willows of Woodbridge. Father of Michael (Melissa) Pearson of Northford and Chris (Kristin) Pearson of North Branford. Grandfather of Nicolas, Luciano, Antonio, Mia and Juliana Pearson. Brother of Beverly Wehner and Ruth Norman both of Florida and James Griffin of New Hampshire. Bill was born in New Haven on October 31, 1964 son of the late Willis and Ruth Blanchard Griffin. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a mechanic at DePalma’s Garage.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Friday morning, August 14, 2026, at St. John XXIII Parish in St. John Vianney Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
