Obituary: William L. Cobb, 79, of East Haven

William L. Cobb, age 79, of East Haven and formerly of Milford, beloved husband of the late Carol Lunde Cobb for 58 years before her passing, entered into eternal rest on March 18, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family.

Mr. Cobb was born in Bridgeport on April 17, 1938 to the late Homer and Helen Tyler Cobb. He worked as a foreman for over 40 years at Remington Products and was an avid UConn girl’s basketball fan. Bill loved to watch Nascar, the NY Giants and game shows on television.

Survivors include his son, William J. Cobb of Milford, daughter, Pamela A. Hopkins of East Haven, sisters, Nancy Kuntz (Kenneth) of Monroe and Marylou Nightingale of NY, Lois Krause of West Haven, brother, Alvin Cobb, four grandchildren; Bryan Cullen, Alexandra Bardelli, Andrew Bardelli and Abigail Hopkins and several nieces and nephews. Bill is predeceased by his son, Jeffery Cobb, daughter, Kimberly Riopel and 8 siblings.

Services are to be announced and interment will be private.
