Obituray: Gennaro “Butch” Germe, 80, of East Haven
A gentle man who loved his family, he enjoyed listening to music and watching the NY Yankees, NY Giants and UConn Women's Basketball team.

Gennaro “Butch” Germe, 80, of East Haven, passed away July 27, 2023 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born May 19, 1943 to Frank and Bettina “Betty” (Morgillo) Germe.
Butch is survived by his son, Walter Joseph Germe (companion, Brenda) of New Haven and a daughter, Tina Maturo of East Haven. He is also survived by his four siblings; Frank Germe (Joanne) of Hamden, Joanne DeCato (Art) of Branford, Anthony Germe (Angela) of New Haven and Nunzio “Chuck” Germe of Branford along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gennaro is preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Gennaro Germe Jr., granddaughter, Kayla and an infant sister, Marie Elaine Germe.
Butch was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed watching the NY Yankees, NY Giants and UConn Women’s Basketball team. He was a gentle man who loved being around his family and friends and listening to music.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 4 P.M. until the time of service at 6 P.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT. Burial will be private.
