UPDATE: Police Identify Man Whose Legs Were Found in New Haven
DNA samples from body parts were being processed at the State Police forensic lab.

New Haven Police have identified the man whose legs were found near the downtown area.
According to police, the victim was identified as 54-year-old Adam Ray Roberson.
Roberson was not reported missing and was homeless, police said. The last time someone reported seeing Roberson alive was on May 20.

Roberson reportedly missed a court date in New Haven on June 17.
Police said the DNA analyses generated a match between the human legs found on July 15 and the victim while the analyses of the found arms continues. The identification of the found arms have not been matched to the found legs, police said.

The case is being investigated as a homicide, police said. The new information obtained by police has warranted an expanded search.
No additional body parts have been found or reported, police said. At this point, police are uncertain whether this will remain a local case.
