Police Looking For Tire Thief, Car Dealership Offers Reward
Police said the suspect, driving a newer white Ford F-150, pulls into the McDermott Chevrolet lot and steals rims and tires.
EAST HAVEN, CT —Police are looking for a tire thief.
East Haven Police Department Capt. Joseph A. Murgo said they're several instances where a suspect driving a newer white Ford F-150 drives onto the McDermott Chevrolet lot and steals all four rims and tires from several vehicles.
Murgo said that officers were called to the 655 Main St. dealership to investigate the theft. Officers found that all four rims and tires were stolen off of three vehicles, which were left propped up on milk crates.

Video surveillance images provided by police show an man wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and black mask pulling up next to or near the vehicles before propping them up and stealing all four tires. In both instances, the suspect, who appears to be alone, enters and exits the parking lot from Frontage Road.
Murgo said the first theft was back in mid-October when the same white truck is seen entering the McDermott parking lot before stealing all four tires from a Chevrolet Truck.
