Police Promotions, 2 New Officers Recruited
Police Chief Edward R. Lennon said of the newly promoted officers that they are the "future of the leadership in our department."

EAST HAVEN, CT — A number of East Haven police officers have been promoted.
At the recent Board of Police Commissioners meeting, promoted were Lt. Joseph Murgo and Lt. David Emerman to the rank of captain effective July 1.
And Sgt. Kevin Klarman was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

Police Chief Ed Lennon said, "I am excited that both Lieutenant Emerman and Lieutenant Murgo were promoted to Captain and Sergeant Klarman was promoted to Lieutenant. These promotions were overdue and all of them deserve it. They are the future of the leadership in our Department."
There are also two new police officers on deck: Dean Bibens and Tyler Pelham.

The promotions follow the retirement of Capt. Joseph Slane.
