Reader Responds To RTC Chair Allegations Against Carfora
A reader responds to RTC chairman Bob Parente in reference to his allegations about Democratic mayoral candidate Joe Carfora.

Submitted opinion from East Haven resident Fran Girven.
OpEd Response to Mr. Parente:
I cannot sit back anymore and let Bob Parente attack my friend Joe Carfora. Joe is a kind and hardworking man who is all about his family and our town. Bob Parente’s hypocrisy is unreal.
Why? By way of background, Parente is Public Works Director, a town councilman and the Republican Town Chairman. AND he is again RUNNING for Town Council on Steve Tracey’s ticket. Parente is a walking and talking conflict of interest. A hypocrite you ask? This hypocrite is running his mouth about Joe, but he ISN’T disclosing to you that he owns a house in New Haven that is in FORECLOSURE!! Property address: 100 Fulton Street, New Haven, CT. No whistleblowers here - just look on the New Haven Court Website-docket # NNH-CV-16-6064592-S. But that’s not all - this hypocrite had an IRS Federal tax lien on the New Haven property!!!

Isn’t it interesting that Parente is personally attacking Joe, but supports a candidate who was arrested for stealing a Corvette (and now lies to us about how the criminal case was resolved)! He supports a candidate who doesn’t hold a high school diploma or a GED! He supports a candidate who cares more about developers than residents! He supports a candidate who can’t speak publicly! Parente wants things to stay the same. He doesn’t care who is Mayor or what their qualification are. The hypocrisy and lies have to stop in the Town. East Haven’s reputation has been tarnished by people like Bob Parente.
Sincerely, Fran Girven
