Report: Black Bear Witnessed in East Haven
The bear was seen near the Alling Memorial Golf Course.
A rare bear sighting in East Haven on Thursday.
Animal Control Officer Anthony Purificato told the New Haven Register that a black bear was spotted near Venice Place.
He was able to track the approximately 300 pound bear to Eddon Drive. Animal control received numerous phone calls about the bear.
