Obituary: Robert Johnson Sr., 88
Robert was a proud US Army veteran and retired as a manufacturing welder in Hamden.
Robert Johnson Sr. 88 of New Haven passed away April 15, 2025 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born July 3, 1936 in New Haven to Howard and Alice (Liston) Johnson. Robert is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Phyllis Carchia (Sal) of Milford, daughter-in-law, Sherry (Beedle) Johnson of East Haven and grandchildren; Robert T. Johnson III (Ashley) of East Haven, Shawn Johnson of East Haven, Salvatore Carchia (Brooke) of Vernon, Joseph Carchia of New Haven, John Carchia (Gwen Popolizio) of Meriden, Maria Darran (Bob) of Rhode Island and Chrystal Carchia of North Carolina along with seven great grandchildren; Travis, Abigail, Nina, Westley, Bennett, Lena and Sean. He is also survived by his companion and family friend, Barbara Limiosani of Wallingford.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty (Weber) Johnson and a son, Robert Johnson Jr. (2020).
