Rotary Club Donates 'Sensory Boxes' For East Haven Students
The club got a grant from Rotary International to buy sensory toys to focus on the "social and emotional well being of young children."
EAST HAVEN, CT —The East Haven Rotary Club recently received a grant from Rotary International that targeted the "social and emotional well-being of young children."
With those funds, the East Haven Rotary purchased sensory toys and assembled over 200 'Sensory Boxes' which were distributed to all East Haven public elementary schools.
The sensory boxes, filled with educational therapy toys to relieve stress and anxiety for children, were given to the special education departments in each of the elementary schools.

Some of the items included mesh and marble fidget toys, mini squeeze balls, fidget spinners, porcupine balls, color brick stress toys, water beads and monkee noodles.
