Kids Must Have Adult At East Haven High School Sports Events
As a safety measure, starting at Friday's football game, kids to grade 8 must have a parent/guardian, high schoolers must have a school ID.
EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Public Schools' Athletic Director Anthony Verderame notified families about a new measure to "ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students."
Per the new rule from the athletic department, all students in grades K to 8 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or supervising adult at all East Haven High School athletic events, beginning with the home football game on Friday night," Verderame wrote in a message to families.
High school students will be required to show their school ID to enter, he noted. And, Verderame added that, "Outside of a small purse, there will be no coolers, backpacks, or bags allowed into the events."
