Sherri Higgins Macdonald obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Sherri Higgins Macdonald, 60 of East Haven, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, June 19th, 2026, after her thirty-one-year-long battle with lung disease. She loved nothing more than being a mom, spending time with her family, playing with her dog “Gigi”, and lying out on the beach in Maine. Sherri was cherished for her playful sense of humor, meaningful conversations, and deep appreciation for life. She enjoyed practicing her creative talents (baking, flower arrangements, and hairdressing), providing advice to loved ones, and solving crossword puzzles. Sherri was a strong-willed woman who navigated life exactly as she chose, doing things her way. She was also an avid reader, a lover of nature, and of hard rock music. Her unwavering faith in God, altruism, and positive mindset will be missed by all.

Sherri is welcomed into Heaven by her father, Kenneth Charles Macdonald (2023). She is survived by her daughter, Sherisse Higgins; her mother, Margaret (D’Amico) Macdonald; her brother, Kenneth (Lisa) Macdonald; her sister, Jeannie Macdonald; her niece, Mindy (Anthony) Parisi; her great-nephews Max Parisi and Dante Parisi; her niece Michelle (Fabio) Perciballi; and her great-niece Caterina Perciballi and her great-nephew Luciano Perciballi.

Family will receive friends on Friday June 26, 2026 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11 AM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
