St. Vincent de Paul School's Future Decided
The East Haven private school opened in the 1960s.

St. Vincent de Paul School in East Haven will close for good in June due to financial woes and a declining student enrollment, the New Haven Register reports.
Archdiocese of Hartford officials say the decision to close has nothing to do with academics. Currently, the pre-K-8 school has just 89 students and a debt of $71,000 this year, the Register reports.
Students who transfer to other Catholics schools will receive a $500 annual scholarship for up to two years. St. Gabriel School in Milford is also closing in June for the same reasons.
