EAST HAVEN, CT —East Haven police are investigating a Wednesday "strong-arm robbery" in the Woodview Apartments parking lot, police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo said.

Murgo said that police got a 911 call from a woman who said her car was stolen in the apartment complex parking lot "after struggling" with two unidentified male suspects. He said she reported they "pushed her to the ground and stole her purse." She told police that "after stealing her purse, one of the suspects stole her car which she had just parked in the parking lot," Murgo said.

Murgo said police are looking for two black males wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts, who video surveillance shows drove into the lot in a dark-colored SUV. Murgo said after the "brief struggle for the victim’s purse," one of the men took off in the dark-colored SUV while the other fled in the victim’s car. The car is a blue Hyundai Elantra bearing CT Reg # 5AUEX0.
