Student-Organized Breast Cancer Awareness Walk ​Set For Saturday

EAST HAVEN, CT — A student-organized Breast Cancer Awareness Walk is set for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Haven High School.

The fundraiser is a 5K walk around the Wheelbarrow Lane school. Student organizers said there will be signage to guide walkers.

All the proceeds will go to Yale Breast Cancer Research and the event is run entirely by Eats Haven High School students.

The event will feature vendors selling coffee, hot chocolate and "other goodies."

Pink merch will also be sold to raise more funds, organizers said.

Masks will be required and there will be a hand sanitizer station along the way.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for k-12 students, and children under Kindergarten age are free.
