Three Charged After Confessing To Car Break-Ins: Cops
Three charged in East Haven vehicle break-ins, two adults and one youth. Police say the three confessed.
EAST HAVEN, CT — Wednesday afternoon police were called to Deerfield and Frank Streets for a report of three men trying to break into vehicles. When officers got there, the suspects had already left. But soon after, officer William Coppola saw a suspicious vehicle with three inside in the parking lot of Forbes Fuel at 81 Frontage Road.
Police ran a check of the car, a blue Ford Focus, showed that the vehicle was stolen out of West Haven.
Officer Coppola and officer Jimmy Nguyen stopped the car without incident. The three were identified as Martin Ramos-Romero, 19, of West Haven, Marquel Rogers, 24, of New Haven, and one unidentified juvenile.

After speaking to the three, police said they confessed to being the three who were breaking into cars earlier in the night. All three were placed under arrest and transported to the East Haven Police Department and processed.
Martin Ramos-Romero was charged with Larceny in the Second Degree, Burglary in the Third Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the Third Degree, Larceny in the Sixth Degree, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the Sixth Degree.

Marquel Rogers was charged with Larceny in the Second Degree, Burglary in the Third Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the Third Degree, Larceny in the Sixth Degree, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the Sixth Degree.
The juvenile was charged with the same.
Rogers and Ramos-Romero were each held on a $10,000 bond. The juvenile was issued a juvenile court date and was turned over to a guardian.
