Time to say GOOD BYE!!!!!
The real RAT INFESTATION PROBLEM is not just at the old High School

The arrogance of Joe Maturo is a theme that continues to carry on. His egotism and ignorance have saddled the taxpayers of East Haven for years, from his infamous taco comments to his sexual harassment lawsuit, Maturo has embarrassed this wonderful community.
As early as today he was quoted in the New Haven Register regarding the Rat infestation problem with the old High School project in sayin "It’s the nut cases (in the neighborhood) who are trying to cause a problem,” (Zaretsky, 2019). HOW DARE HE SPEAK this way. But wait HE STILL WANTS YOUR VOTE!

Maturo’s arrogance has reached an all-time high, and he seems ready to bite the proverbial hand that gave him political life. While insincere and shocking are words that can be used to describe our town’s Joe Maturo and Joe Zullo experiment, nothing that they concoct should surprise anyone, this latest Maturo/Zullo act might just top them all.

Maturo has issued a statement- which without question Zullo wrote - that he will not be seeking the Republican nomination for Mayor this time around. Seems fairly upfront right? Nope- because in the Maturo/Zullo management model there is always a mixed message. Read the statement carefully and one can see that their announcement plainly leaves the door wide open for Maturo to run as an independent candidate for mayor. Actually, Maturo later even clarified that very sentiment after his initial statement in case there was some confusion.
Some see it as a slap in the face to the Republican Party—and certainly it is that, but it clearly also supports the position that many of us have known about these two for years—that they will do just about anything to get what they want.
Think about what a slap in the face this is to the party that up until recently obeyed him like a trained dog - a party that Maturo and Zullo manipulated for years for their personal and professional gain. What’s up now --do they now think that Matruro is a liability? Maybe that the Maturo/Zullo “take me court " attitude, along with Maturo’s abrasive and disrespectful in your face approach to everything, has run its course ? Are they concerned that Maturo won't receive the Republican nomination if he seeks it?
Maturo and Zullo have worked our town for their benefit. AT THE COST OF THE TAXPAYER, from the sexual harassment case settlement, the foolish car accident with his Town vehicle in New Haven and other high-profile legal cases, they continue to incur massive legal costs and their approach has damaged our wonderful community’s reputation. Boss man Maturo directed, and manipulated the dutiful and inexperienced Zullo into protecting him at all costs. Now they both thumb their noses to the Republican Party. It will be interesting to watch them plot their next moves. Will Zullo split from Maturo, who is the hand that fed his fledgling law practice? Or will these two characters stick together to continue their assault on our community?
One wonders, what could we have lowered the mill rate to if the taxpayers did not have to fund the results of their poor judgements? Like the poor judgment of Maturo and Zullo have saddled this community over and over for years, this is also not the first time Maturo has been willing to side step the Republican party for his own selfish ends. Remember eight years ago when he decided to jump in unexpectedly after the Republican party had already selected a candidate? That year he threatened the run as a third-party candidate too. Maturo and Zullo continue the me/us first approach – Maturo and Zullo first over the taxpayers and the same over the Republican party.
The old rats need to jump ship! but wait they think they have a life boat waiting in November!
Make no mistake, change is necessary and it is coming.
